I’ve always believed in some unseen higher order.
Call it faith, call it optimism, call is agnosticism. Call it what you like. While not brought up with religion (thankfully), I was brought up with some sort of faith undefined. It's impossible to identify the roots, and at this point, it's not important. Through all of life's struggles, and there have been many, the gift it has given me is the unwavering belief that there is a higher order to life and life's events. I may never understand or like what that order is, but it brings peace through acceptance that I am not in charge of the Universe!
As a I share my life experiences, I change myself and others. As I share my struggles, I find compassion from others that helps me find compassion for myself. As I share my courage and resiliency, I am reminded of the grace that somehow comes through that higher order that I cannot see. My hope is to inspire others to bring shadows into the light so that we may find our unity and stand together in tolerance and love.Â
